Steam will apparently stop working on Windows XP and Vista starting on January 1, 2019. Valve has recommended that users upgrade to Windows 7 or above in order to receive further updates.

Except for the games that need XP or Vista and don’t work in 7 and above?

The time has come, my friends, to speak of end of life support for XP and Vista and migrating to Windows 7 and above.

I hope this doesn’t hurt Valve very much when old Windows systems cannot buy their new games.
