Bitcoin took a wild ride in 2017, ups and down, to the point that it scares investors and merchants that it might be unstable.
When a friend and I went to see the new Star Wars movie, I bought the tickets online and my friend paid me back with an app that uses USD to pay. He said he would have paid me in Bitcoin but the ticket was $11 and Bitcoin went from $3 to $13 at different times, so it would not be reliable as a payment.
