So say you have a smartphone locked to one carrier and you want to move to a different one. You have the right to unlock it so it can be used on another carrier.
Research can also be done on these devices to figure out how to secure them better from hackers. It takes a hacker to beat another hacker. After seeing how unsecured things were for devices to launch DDOS attacks last week, there ought to be a way to modify these devices so they can’t be infected.
