Is music composition an acceptable degree type for Computer Security? Apparently not. Making a diversity hire because they don’t have enough women in their IT department doesn’t seem to work either.

No wonder the user ID and password for the database and server was Admin/Admin?

Why don’t corporations take computer security seriously? I earned two degrees and learn computer science and programming. I know how computer security works as well. I would tolerate no weak passwords on my server and set up a policy to enforce that.

I would like to see more women and minorities in STEM, but I would rather they earn a STEM degree instead of a useless one like Music Composition or Gender Studies that has nothing to do with Computer Science.

Just because I am a Computer Science degree holder, would not make me qualified for Music Composition and vice versa.
