Companies should expect additional scrutiny
For far too long big companies have screwed over US citizens by refusing to hire them for programming jobs, even if they are qualified for such jobs, so that the companies can justify hiring H1-B Visa workers for a lower salary.
It is about time that this practice ends. Everyone and their brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc learned programming to get better paying jobs and while most of them suck at it, there are some high level people that deserve to work for a higher salary.
I’ve known people who had programming degrees and had to work retail or fast food jobs to make ends meet. Over-qualified is the word employers would use if someone was qualified for a job, but would be paid a lot of money for their experience in that job.
It is time the billionaires of this world know that they are put on notice. They can’t get away with this scam anymore!
